My case was received by NSC on JUN 1st. They issued the recipt numbers on JUN 5th. I am still waiting on my wifes. They could clear on Monday.. Looks like NSC is also trying to speed up things. They are just one day slower than TSC in issuing recepts.

My 140 was approved at TSC, sent 485 to Nebraska on June 22, they received on June 25. I called to check status yesterday, the lady said to wait. On asking if case will be transferred to TSC and if TSC will generate receipts, she said she doesn't know, but it may take at least 2-3 weeks to process receipts at Nebraska.
I just called national customer service center for my 485 receipts and the lady told that nebraska filers should still wait for 30 more days before they call for receipt updates...she said she was answering the same question since this morning and mentioned that it could still take atleast 30 days for nebraska center to register the applications...
when I asked her if she knew whether my case has been transferred to TSC already (since my 140 got approved from TSC), she said she wouldn't know that answer...her bottom line was to wait...
what a mess!!!!!
if any one has called the customer service today regarding the receipts, I would appreciate if you could please post the responses here.

I am so sad and speechless after reading this. The next moment, I remembered that, my Metlife Insurance agent's husband had the same story. But miracle happened; he survived. So don't loose your hope. Sometimes hope is the best medicine.

To answer your question, though I am not aware of any laws for this type of situation, we can always try. I would try to get an appointment with either Zoe Lofgren or Nancy Pelosi. May be there are ways. If you need help, let us know we can accompany you.

Appreciate your feelings towards this community but personally i think IV need to have a system in place to reimburse expenses incurred towards the administrative costs, as suggested by mgos.
Atleast i think these funds we are collecting now should be directed towards an administrative expenses account for reimbursing you and all other core team IV members for the amount spent already.
Please arrange for setting up an administrative account (or should it suffice to just make the paypal contributions with a specific message saying something like "REIMBURSEMENT").

I have been working in the non-profit sector for the past 8 years and from experience suggest that in order for this movement/advocacy campaign to sustain it is important for us to have a system in place where core campaign members are reimbursed for their past and recurring expenses. We have contributed to IV previously and would like to pledge $200 towards Aman's expenses.

It would be naive and untenable for us to openly ask the lawmakers to limit H1-Bs even while we ourselves on the same visa (and will be for the near future) - it amounts to tacitly acknowledging that H1-Bs are somehow harmful to this country. It wouldn't be any better than numbersUSA saying out with the immigrants even as they themselves are descendants of immigrants.
Our "friends" would love a deal like that .. first use all legal immigrants to oppose the 12 million illegals, then use us to get rid of H1-B, next use us against FB applicants and finally when EBs are too small a group to stand up for themselves, crush them with a sledgehammer !! Cant think of a more elegant application of divide and conquer. So, sorry we are not going to strike any sort of a "deal" with the other side - because the only deal that works for them is out with ALL immigrants. Mine reached Texas at July 3rd 9-30 a.m. it was mailed on JUNE 30th via DHL for next day delivery but as per DHL they had routing discrepancy (or my bad luck) and they delivered it on JULY 3rd instead of JULY 2nd..any one out there with JULY 3rd delivery..any updates for them..

Good if it happens. But when? What makes it to say it is dead for the lawmakers. If it is likely to be dead by the end of July, then what for the hearings in the month of august before the next recession? No hopes for anything, until something is signed by the president. Any new BILL, agian the same senate, congress, commitee process and KILL it at the end. Hmmm it is just my frustration and I am not blaming anyone. I am there to fight till the end(?? I dunno where the end is though).
Answering for Logiclife, whose time zone is a couple hours behind.
CIR will likely not be VOTED dead. There just will not be anything done about naming a Conference committee. If a committee is indeed named, but they don't produce a report in 2-3 weeks, then CIR would be deemed dead.
The bottom line is, if nothing happens by the end of July, CIR will likely be dead.
We will be looking at other options much before the end of July. The problem for us is that no other legislation will be considered before the end of July.

Will I need passport size photos at the time of landing (like for applying PR or any other form) and if required how many photos are required.

As per my research this i the list of documents you need:
� Passport

� Few copies of a list stating inventory you wish to take to Canada in the future, list of "Goods to Follow" and when landing in Canada. Include Model Numbers and Serial Numbers of products if they have such numbers.
Good to have:
Birth Certificate.
� Marriage Certificate.
� Driver's License.
� International Drivers License
