Gary, I like all three but the first shot is my favorite.....DOF (on the first) is good, (the shrubs midway in the photo could be sharper) not great but quite acceptable and the polarizer makes the shot shine. Good work (on all three)

sabr, could you be more elaborate regarding the 2 companies, where do u work, and who is offering you the job, how do they want to hire you, etc... Please explain clearly what your question is? Iam trying to say something and you are interpreting it differently and it looks like we are off pace somewhere.

There was lot of talk in the past about lawsuit against USCIS against Porting and moving dates slowly etc.
Has anything been done yet?
This is something like filing a law suite against Manmohan Singh for having inefficient ministers under his goverment.
Hire a top attorney, paying him half of your earnings to get an answer from the court saying that "thats how things work".

Here is the list of people who recently died in my village. Let us all pray for their soul to rest in peace. Please understand that when we can pray for YSR..we can do for these people also. Every life has the same value...dont you agree..

They all died due natural cause and age. They are all more than eighty years old. I was trying to emphasis, in this forum we do not need to discuss about YSR. He might be a beloved leader for someone and corrupt for others. Whatever may be the case take your discussion to the relevant place. The reason I started this thread to emphasis that there are lot of people dying across the country and around the world and we do not need to hold prayer for every one or they poor souls are not different from YSR and they also deserve to be remembered in our prayers. But you highly educated folks did not understand that and gave more reds or am I not presenting it properly...?

The way these companies are run is pathetic. I know a Desi employer who invested his revenues into Tollywood (Telugu) movies. :D Isn�t it amusing?
Most of these movies flopped and he didn't have any money to pay his employees. Some one complained to DOL and they blacklisted the company preventing them from processing anymore H1's or GC's. The Desi employer eventually started another company and went into the whole crappy business again.

h1 is dual intent visa under the current laws it is perfectly legal to hold both h1b and ead statuses - u can be in just h1b status if u wish or get into EAD status or maintain both if the h1 is valid

I'd say proceed with filing 485 for now and later you can think about porting etc.
Rather try filing it yourself and save lawyer fees ($1500 per primary applicant and $2000 for primary + dependent? geez this is a special offer?)

WASHINGTON— U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced today, in response to recent stakeholder feedback, that it is currently reviewing its policy on H-1B cap exemptions for non-profit entities that are related to or affiliated with an institution of higher education. Until further guidance is issued, USCIS is temporarily applying interim procedures to H-1B non-profit entity petitions filed with the agency seeking an exemption from the statutory H-1B numerical cap based on an affiliation with or relation to an institution of higher education.
Effective immediately, during this interim period USCIS will give deference to prior determinations made since June 6, 2006, that a non-profit entity is related to or affiliated with an institution of higher education – absent any significant change in circumstances or clear error in the prior adjudication – and, therefore, exempt from the H-1B statutory cap. However, the burden remains on the petitioner to show that its organization previously received approvals of its request for H-1B cap exemption as a non-profit entity that is related to or affiliated with an institution of higher education.
Petitioners may satisfy this burden by providing USCIS with evidence such as a copy of the previously approved cap-exempt petition (i.e. Form I-129 and pertinent attachments) and the previously issued applicable I-797 approval notice issued by USCIS since June 6, 2006, and any documentation that was submitted in support of the claimed cap exemption. Furthermore, USCIS suggests that petitioners include a statement attesting that their organization was approved as cap-exempt since June 6, 2006.
USCIS emphasizes that these measures will only remain in place on an interim basis. USCIS will engage the public on any forthcoming guidance.
The H-1B is a nonimmigrant visa that allows U.S. employers to temporarily employ foreign workers in specialty occupations. I think USCIS should be blamed because all those previous years visa numbers which are lost because they can't adjudicate the cases on time. We invested our time, resource and money for each and every step. We pay social security and taxes to run the economy. Most of us are here in "UNKNOWN" status but we are called resident and spent many many years.
I have mixed feeling on if government/congress is serious about fixing this issue because 10 years doesn't sound very positive.
It looks like immigration issue is hen that give golden egg ($ for the economy) Paper wok, Attorney frees postal fees gov fess etc. Does anyone would like to fix it?
Please share your thought.
1) Will the green card be worth after 10 years?
2) Is there any grantee this mess will be cleared in 10 Years?
3) Is time spent in path to immigration will be joyful and peaceful?
4) The time away from back home Close family and you may have already missed your nearest and dearest family function. your child niece, nephew and other close relative bonding that your had when you'r child and had all this which you may be sacrifice for the path to immigration
Please rethink what important and how to get an attention from the right people
